BOMARZO
A small village famous for its Sacred Wood in which you can admire monuments of monsters and mythological animals. It was built by Vicino Orsini in the XVI century.
LAGO DI VICO
About 20 minutes away from the Castle, this lake is the ideal spot for a nice swim to cool off in the hotter days, and for dining in one of the many restaurants on its shores.
VILLA LANTE
The garden inspired by Cardinal Gambara of Villa Lante designed by Giulio Romano is one of the most famous and astonishing marvels of 16th century gardens.
VITERBO
Known as the city of Popes, it was the site of the first conclave in 1276. By vising this ancient city you can become immersed in its medieval architecture and culture.
CIVITA DI BAGNOREGIO
Is a magical, surreal, fantastic town located on top of a tuff hill that can only be reached by crossing a narrow pedestrian bridge. From there you can enjoy one of the most stunning panoramic views of the region.
PALAZZO FARNESE
The gardens of the palace are as magnificent as the main building. Built in 1550 the palace is one of the best examples of the architecture of the Italian Renaissance.
LAGO DI BOLSENA
It is the largest existing volcanic origin lake in Europe. It is the fifth largest lake in Italy. It has two islands. La Martana and la Bisentina site of the first Farnese tombs.
ORVIETO
One of the most beautiful and visited cities in Italy Orvieto is 40 kilometers from the Castle. A fascinating location with historical monuments and the must see Cathedral with the frescoes of Luca Signorelli.
